At Precious Paws Rescue, we are committed to supporting northern, remote, and First Nations communities in creating sustainable, community-led solutions for dog population management. These supports include providing shipments of dog food and supplies for struggling community members, remote wellness and vaccination clinics, remote spay/neuter clinics, and more more.
We believe that meaningful change begins with partnership. That’s why we work alongside community leadership, veterinary professionals, animal welfare organizations, and health authorities to provide proactive, collaborative programs.
Our focus is on building trusting, long-lasting relationships that empower communities to design and lead their own dog population management initiatives. We bring resources and expertise, but the vision and direction always remain with the community.
Research from the International Companion Animal Coalition (ICAM) confirms that dog population management programs can only succeed when they are community-based. Each community is unique, and there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution.
