Yoshi is a 3-year-old Lab Retriever mix from Moose Cree with a gentle heart, happy personality, and a love for companionship. He’s the kind of dog who quickly wins people over with his friendly nature and calm, easygoing attitude. Whether he’s out for a walk or curled up beside you on the couch, Yoshi is happiest when he’s with his people.
Yoshi loves everyone he meets and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. His foster describes him as a huge cuddle bug who would happily snuggle on the couch all day if given the chance. He walks very well on leash, enjoys spending time outdoors, and already knows “sit” and “come.” He is crate trained and does well when given the “crate” command, and he is making excellent progress with housetraining. Yoshi is a mellow, well-mannered boy overall who settles nicely into home life.
Like many friendly young dogs, Yoshi can get a little excited and may jump up when greeting people. Because of this, he would benefit from continued training and positive reinforcement to help polish his manners. He also enjoys spotting squirrels on walks and may give chase or bark in excitement, which just adds to his goofy, lovable personality. While he has not been tested with cats or children, his sweet and social temperament suggests he could do well with respectful older kids who can continue reinforcing his training.
Yoshi would thrive in a loving home that wants a loyal companion to share daily life with. A family committed to continuing his training and giving him plenty of affection, exercise, and couch cuddles will help him become the very best version of himself. Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption.
