Tehya is an 8+ year-old sweetheart who’s learning what it means to be loved after spending her early years in a puppy mill. Every day, she grows a little braver — and a lot more adorable!
This gentle girl is crate, leash, and house trained, rides nicely in the car, and gets along well with men, women, and other animals. While untested with children, she would do best in a calm home where she can relax and blossom at her own pace.
Tehya is discovering the joys of home life — following her foster buddy Moose into the living room, claiming her cozy bed, and curling up beside her person on the couch. She now comes out of her crate with a happy dance, wagging her tail and ready for snuggles when her foster parents come home. Her appetite is great, and she takes her grooming and ear care like a little champ.
She’s making wonderful progress — confidently exploring, enjoying quiet companionship, and learning that affection feels pretty amazing. Tehya would love another gentle dog in her new home to guide her as she continues to build confidence. At night, she prefers to snooze near her person, safe and content.
Note, Tehya has sensitive ears and will need her ears flushed 2x a week. Dental work Tehya required has already been completed.
