Meet Archer – a gentle soul with a heart full of love
Archer’s story is one of quiet bravery. This lovely senior Coton de Tulear spent his early years in a puppy mill, but now that he’s discovered soft beds, gentle hands, and tasty treats, he’s embracing life with gratitude and charm.
At 7.25 kg, Archer is a small, white fluff of kindness who’s friendly with everyone — men, women, kids, dogs, and even other animals. He’s mellow, playful in short bursts, and loves curling up for cuddles and pets. Though his legs can get a little stiff, this sweet senior still has plenty of pep and loves to explore at his own pace. Stairs? He says, “No thanks!” and would much rather be carried. Archer has a collapsing trachea that currently does not cause him concern but he will require a harness rather than a collar and he may need medication in the future if it gets worse.
He’s working on his house and leash training, and doing so well. Archer enjoys car rides and is a mannerly passenger. Crate training is always recommended, but Archer has been home alone without the crate and was a perfect gentleman.
At night, Archer sleeps peacefully in his foster’s room — sometimes in his crate, sometimes on his dog bed or the floor. This sweet, affectionate boy has a loving, submissive nature and truly enjoys being part of a family.
Archer would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can continue learning what it means to be cherished. In return, he’ll give you endless love, gentle tail wags, and his quiet, grateful companionship every day.
