Meet Shadow, the one-year-old Pomeranian who is small in size but full of personality! Shadow is an affectionate, playful but slightly nervous little guy who loves his people deeply once he bonds. He’s bright, energetic, and always up for a good game, or a good snuggle with his favorite human.
Shadow is crate trained, working on his housetraining, and knows a couple of useful commands like “sit” and “leave it.” He is food-motivated (which makes training extra fun!) and enjoys his walks as he continues to get the hang of leash manners. He’s social with other dogs and loves people, often trotting right up to say hello once he feels comfortable.
Like many young dogs, Shadow’s enthusiasm sometimes gets ahead of him, he might have big opinions about noises and visitors and isn’t shy about sharing them! He’s also very fond of his toys and prefers not to share them readily, so ongoing training and trust-building will help him learn that giving things up isn’t so bad. Quick movements or loud kids can make him a little uneasy, so a calm home with older or dog-savvy children is his ideal match.
