Meet Reggie, a three-year-old Labrador mix who can best be described as a gentle, well-mannered gentleman looking for a quiet, loving home to call his own. Sweet, shy, and wonderfully mellow, Reggie prefers the simple pleasures in life—good company, a cozy place to rest, and a predictable daily routine.
Reggie is still working on his house-training and does best with regular routines, is crate-free reliable, and rides well in the car. He walks nicely on leash with a bit of enthusiasm at times and understands basic commands such as sit, stay, and come. He is polite in the home, enjoys his treats, and appreciates the comfort of furniture privileges—whether that’s a dog bed, sofa, or sharing space with his people.
Deeply devoted, Reggie forms strong attachments and seems to especially enjoys the company of his foster dad, often following him quietly from room to room. He greets each morning with affection, happily joining you for a cuddle to start the day. While he may be a little vocal when left alone, this simply reflects how much he values companionship. Reggie does appreciate having his own space from time to time and would do best in a home with older children (13+) who can respect his boundaries and give him time to relax undisturbed.
Reggie was found to have elevated eosinophil and monocyte levels on his bloodwork and he was recently treated with medication and these levels are trending towards a normal range. Reggie will still need consistent monitoring to ensure these and other levels continue to trend towards normal.
If you are looking for a steady, affectionate companion and a soft soul, Reggie is ready to take on the role and your couch.
