Pepper is a 3-month-old Husky Shepherd mix with a sweet, playful personality and plenty of puppy charm. She is a friendly little girl who loves meeting people and getting involved in the fun. She has done wonderfully with men, women, strangers, dogs, and children of all ages, making her a social butterfly in training.
Pepper is a typical happy puppy who loves to play and is very treat motivated, which makes her eager to learn. She is great in the car and enjoys being around her people and canine friends. She has not shown any aggression and is simply excited to experience everything the world has to offer.
Like all puppies, Pepper is currently in her teething era, which means toys, fingers, and pretty much anything interesting can become a chew opportunity! Her puppy mouthing is playful rather than aggressive and can be redirected with appropriate toys, consistency, and positive reinforcement. She is also working on housetraining and crate training and would benefit greatly from puppy classes and continued obedience training.
Pepper would thrive with a family who is ready for the fun, energy, and occasional chaos that comes with raising a puppy. Her people should be prepared to help her learn good manners through patience, structure, and positive training. In return, Pepper will bring plenty of affection, playful antics, and happy puppy energy to her forever home.
Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption. Local adopters can take advantage of 50% off a training course at Ruff Haus in Barrie (www.ruffhaus.ca) and all adopters will also be signed up for Petcademy to offer 30 days of free text-based behavioural support.
