I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Buddy

We're happy to tell you that Buddy has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Buddy is a 14-year-old mini schnauzer mix who embodies everything we adore about senior dogs, calm, gentle, endlessly sweet, and wonderfully easy to live with. He greets everyone like a friend, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and has been fantastic with kids. His “go with the flow” personality makes him the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into a household and brightens every room he enters.

Despite his age, Buddy still enjoys life’s simple pleasures. He loves his walks, happily curls up for naps, and delights in being near his people. He’s crate trained, housetrained, and rides politely in the car, truly a well-mannered gentleman. He knows “sit” and “come,” is picking up new things quickly, and enjoys the mental engagement of gentle training.

Buddy does come with some medical needs, and we want to be transparent while still celebrating how special he is. He thrives on a special urinary diet and takes heart medication for a heart murmur. He also receives arthritis support to keep him comfortable, along with skin medication and occasional care for allergies or ear flare-ups. Buddy will require continual diagnostic monitoring to make sure his medical needs are being well managed. These needs are manageable with a routine and a bit of attentiveness, and Buddy handles it all with patience and grace.

Buddy isn’t just looking for a home, he’s looking for his person or people, someone with a soft spot for seniors and a willingness to give a deserving dog the comfort, stability, and affection he’s earned over his long life. In return, Buddy offers loyalty, easy companionship, gentle joy, and the quiet warmth only a senior dog can give.

If your heart is open to a loving older gentleman who still has so much to offer, Buddy would be honoured to spend his golden years by your side.
