Blue is a very handsome, 2 year old, Husky mix with a whole lot of love to give! This special guy originally came to Precious Paws from Fort Albany First Nation when he was surrendered to our care with an old eye injury. Blue had his eye removed shortly after arriving into foster with us and he recovered quickly. After having all of his vetting updated, Blue was adopted in May of this year but unfortunately his adoptive family was recently in an accident and had to surrender Blue back into our care.
Blue is a happy, gentle, easygoing guy who loves belly rubs, peaceful walks, soft toys, and cozy naps. He is housetrained, crate trained, and he's confident with commands like "sit", "leave it", and "paw". He also attended obedience classes with his foster family earlier this year! Blue gets along well with other dogs and he's also enjoyed all of the interactions he's had with kids! He is sweet and calm with people of all ages, always ready to say hello with a wagging tail. Blue has not been exposed to cats so we cannot recommend him to a home with cats.
He can sometimes resource guard toys and food from other dogs so care should be taken in a new home to ensure he has the supervision and space he needs while getting comfortable around another dog. Blue is a smart, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his people, whether out exploring or relaxing at home.
