Scrappy-Doo is a young, happy-go-lucky pup bursting with personality and love to share! This adorable mixed-breed boy is always ready to make a new friend—human, canine, or even feline (though the cats in his foster home think he could use a little less enthusiasm!). Full of tail wags, charm, and curiosity, Scrappy is ready to find a family who’ll match his energy and joy for life.
Scrappy is crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, and has been learning his leash manners—though he can pull a little when he’s excited to explore the world around him, but he's slowly learning his leash manners. He loves toys, especially tug ropes and food-filled chew toys, and he’s quick to come when you call his name. While fetch isn’t quite his game yet, he makes up for it with goofy play sessions and a loyal, loving heart. His foster describes him as “very friendly, full of energy, and a loving boy who wants to be around you at all times.”
Like many young dogs, Scrappy is still perfecting his manners. He can be mouthy and jumpy when he’s excited, especially when meeting new people, so he’ll do best with older, dog-savvy children who can help him learn boundaries with patience and consistency. He’s respectful with other dogs, has shown no prey drive toward little creatures likesquirrels, and is learning that calm greetings earn him even more attention—his favorite reward! Because he’s so food-motivated, he’ll thrive with some obedience training to help him shine as his best self.
Scrappy is the kind of dog who’ll bring laughter, loyalty, and love to every day. He’s playful and affectionate, sometimes a little snorty (and snore-y!), and happiest when he’s near his people.
