Say hello to Cinnamon, a 5-year-old miniature poodle mix, who spent her life in a puppymill before coming into rescue. Now she’s discovering the joys of life in a loving home, and each day she blossoms a little more.
She is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on leash (a harness is her preference). She does well at the vet, rides politely in the car once she’s inside, and is food-motivated, which will make training easier. Cinnamon is still discovering the world, but with every new experience her confidence blossoms. With continued training, she’ll not only keep growing but also build an even stronger bond with her family.
Cinnamon can be shy when meeting new people or in unfamiliar situations, but her gentle heart shines once she feels safe. She enjoys quiet companionship, soft snuggles, and exploring at her own pace. Her foster describes her as curious and sometimes mischievous — she has started to collect little treasures around the house and loves investigating new scents outside.
Her foster shares that Cinnamon is still discovering the world, but each new experience helps her confidence rise. With a bit of training and guidance, she’ll continue to grow while deepening her bond with her family. She also enjoys the company of another quiet dog and would likely do okay in a home with cats, though she has not been tested.
Cinnamon is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will let her progress at her own pace. Cinnamon will do best in a home with no children, or with older kids who understand how to move gently and respectfully around a dog who can be nervous with quick movements and too much activity. She will thrive in a calm environment where she can continue to build confidence, enjoy her walks and snuggles, and finally experience the life she’s always deserved.
